Bed and breakfast Barletta-Andria-Trani

Barletta-Andria-Trani Created in 2004 but only becoming effective in 2009 this is the most recent province in the region. Its population is around 391,000 and it has 10 municipalities. The province has a largely flat terrain with some hills and has almost 45 kilometres of coastline. Its National Park of Alta Murgia is so large that it covers three different municipalities, Andria, Minervino Murge and Spinazzola. The largest cities in the province are Barletta, Andria and Trani. Barletta is a historic city with many sites like the Hohenstaufen Castle, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the archaeological site of Canne della Battaglia, the ancient location of the famous clash between the Roman troops and Hannibal. Andria is home to the Castle on the Mount, a UNESCO site of world heritage, the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption and the Ducal Palace. There are many Romanesque churches throughout Apulia, such as the Cathedral of Trani which is a fine example of such architecture and is famous for its beautiful bronze gate.
