Bed and breakfast Crotone

Crotone The province of Crotone has 27 municipalities and around 170,000 inhabitants. Created in 1992 with the division of the province of Catanzaro, the province of Crotone extends from the mountains of Sila to the Ionian Sea. The most popular destinations in the province are: the city of Crotone, the Island of Capo Rizzuto, Cirò Marina, Cutro and Petilia Policastro. The local economy is based on tourism, especially in coastal areas, whilst other areas rely on industry and agriculture. An excellent wine D.O.C from this area is called Cirò and is sold all over Italy and also exported to North America. Another local specialty is the bread produced in Cutro. Thousands of tourists, both from Italy and abroad, choose the seaside resorts in this province for their summer holidays. The town of Le Castella on the Island of Capo Rizzuto is particularly lovely. The island has crystal clear waters, first class accommodation and a range of amenities. Other noteworthy beach resorts are Punta Alice in Cirò Marina and Trepidò in Cotronei.
