Bed and breakfast Medio Campidano

Medio Campidano The new province of Medio Campidano was created in 2005 and is located between the provinces of Oristano (to the North), of Carbonia-Iglesias (to the South), and of Cagliari (to the South and to the East) whilst the western part of the province is on the coast. The largest cities are Sanluri and Villacidro. The most interesting places to visit inland are: Linas mountain, one of the highest mountains in Sardinia which has lead and zinc deposits, the hills of Marmilla with basalt plateaus, and Collinas, a beautiful small village with an ancient stone brick historic center which is surrounded by ilex groves and vineyards, as well as olive and almond groves. This province has a rocky coastline and the deep blue or emerald green waters off the coast are pristine. The most beautiful beaches are in the popular seaside resort of Arbus where you can find the beaches of Torre dei Corsari, Funtanazza, Capo Pecora and Piscinas. Medio Campidano’s most famous archaeological site is Su Nuraxi in Barumini, which was made a UNESCO Site of World Heritage in 1997.
