Rovigo The province of Rovigo has a population of 250,000. The province’s terrain is largely flat and borders with Polesine and includes the Po Delta Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The local economy is based on agriculture, the province grows wheat, rice, apples, pears, peaches and vegetables. The most popular tourists destinations are the Po Delta Park, the villages of Fratta Polesine, Rosolina Mare and the island of Albarella. The largest cities are Rovigo, which has many interesting monuments to visit such as the Cathedral of St. Stephen, the Clock Tower (XVIII century) and its two Medieval leaning towers. Adria, located between the Adige river to the North and the River Po to the South, is home to the National Archeological Museum in which is to be found the tomb of an ancient Venetian warrior, glass vases and other Roman artifacts. In Badia Polesine you can visit its 17th century Town Hall, the 19th century theater and the Civic Museum, which houses many important archeological finds. Lendinara has a lovely Cathedral (XVIII century) and the Church of the Madonna del Pilastrello.
