Verona The province of Verona has many wonderful monuments and important works of art. The most visited places in the province are: Lake Garda with its deep blue waters, stunning landscape and picturesque towns; Volpicella, to the North-West, famous for its vineyards that produce many famous red wines (Volpicella DOC, Recioto della Volpicella DOC and Amarone della Volpicella DOC); Lessinia, in the pre-alpine region of the province with its fertile grazings where cattle is reared.
